Why should the oil mill clean and remove impurities before pressing oil plants? 


Oil pretreatment includes oil cleaning, de fuzzing, shelling, drying, crushing, softening, embryo rolling, steaming and frying, etc. During the process of harvesting, drying, transportation and storage, some impurities such as sand, soil, stems, leaves and ironware will be mixed into the oil plants. If they are not removed before production, it is very unfavorable to the production and operation of the oil press.


Purposes and methods of cleaning

1 Purpose of cleaning Oil cleaning can improve the quality of oil and cake, increase oil yield, reduce losses, increase the handling capacity of equipment, reduce wear on equipment, and ensure the safety of the workshop and achieve civilized production.


2 Cleaning method There are many kinds of impurities in the oil, and the physical properties of various impurities, such as specific gravity, magnetic capacity, surface shape, mechanical properties and suspension speed, are quite different. Cleaning is to use these differences to use different equipment and methods. The cleaning methods to remove impurities mainly include screening, air separation, magnetic separation and water separation.


(1) Filter

Screening is a method of separating impurities by using the difference of particle size (width, thickness, length) between oil and impurities and screen holes.

The common screening equipment in oil plants include fixed screen, vibrating screen and rotary screen.

The stone removal equipment in the oil plant is mainly gravity stone remover.


(2) Winnowing

Air separation is to use the difference in suspension speed between oil and impurities, and the method of removing impurities by wind. The main purpose of air separation is to remove light impurities and dust. At the same time, some heavy impurities such as stones and soil blocks can be removed.


(3) Side by side mud cleaning

Clay particles whose shape and size are equal to or similar to those of oil seeds, and whose specific gravity is not significantly different from that of oil seeds, are called "side by side mud". The main equipment for cleaning sludge side by side include iron roller rice mill, rubber roller grain mill, disc sheller, horizontal cylindrical screen and vertical circular screen.
