Flour processing process
The process flow of flour processing is briefly introduced. The process flow of wheat flour processing is divided into two steps, namely peeling and grinding
Wheat -- cleaning -- watering -- moistening wheat -- grinding -- grinding and sieving -- flour preparation -- packaging
1. Cleaning: mainly to clean the straws, stones, broken wheat and other impurities that affect the flour yield. The main equipment includes: wheat beater, stone remover, air separation, selection, etc. According to the quality of wheat and flour requirements, various flour mills will have some differences
2. Watering: After the wheat is cleaned, it needs to be watered to make the moisture content of the wheat reach a certain level, which can improve the toughness of the wheat bran and reduce the mechanical strength of the wheat endosperm. In this way, when grinding, the wheat bran is not suitable to be ground very finely, which will affect the quality of the flour, while the tempered endosperm will reduce the wear of the grinding roller of the mill and reduce the energy consumption. Generally, high-gluten wheat has more water, and low-gluten wheat has less water.
3. Moistening wheat: The watered wheat should be stored in the wheat barn for a certain time, usually 8~24 hours, depending on the wheat variety and temperature. High gluten wheat generally takes longer to moisten wheat in winter. The wheat soaked and moistened is called milled wheat. The moisture content of milled wheat is controlled at 14~16%. If it is too high, it will affect the rear screening.
4. Grinding and sifting: the milling machine breaks the wheat into big bran, small bran, big endosperm, small endosperm, coarse powder and fine powder, and then different materials enter into different milling machines for grinding, while cooperating with screening and flour cleaning. This is a very complex process, which needs to be adjusted by an experienced powder maker to achieve the best results. Finally, flour (1~3 kinds), coarse bran and fine bran are obtained.
5. Mixing flour: Due to the demand of special flour, the flour made from one kind of wheat often cannot meet the customer's requirements. By mixing different wheat flour in a certain proportion, various flour properties of the finished flour can be adjusted to meet the customer's requirements.
